Festive book fayre and coffee morning, Tuesday 6th December - 10am to 1pm

Also available for sale DVDs, CDs, Jigsaws, small plants and cakes all at very reasonable prices

All proceeds to the Friends of Budleigh Library

Donations of books, DVDs, CDs and jigsaws can be brought to the library week beginning 28th November.

If you would like to donate small plants or cakes could you bring them to the library on Monday 5th December or on the morning of Tuesday 6th December  

We are delighted to be able to confirm that our first Annual General Meeting will be taking place from 7pm on Wednesday, 7 September 2016 at Budleigh Salterton Public Hall.

We are thrilled that Exmouth thriller author Graham Hurley (www.grahamhurley.co.uk) will be a guest speaker at the event and alongside official proceedings we hope to have an enjoyable and sociable evening for Friends – including wine and nibbles.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the evening.

23 April 2016 - April is an exciting month for the library! The 1st April 2016 marked the start of a bright future for Devon's libraries as Libraries Unlimited, the new and independent organisation began to run the service across the county. To celebrate and welcome in the new service, we held a coffee morning at the Library to coincide with the official launch of Libraries Unlimited on Saturday, 23rd April 2016. The event raised over £130 and a wonderful morning was had by all, very loud and happy.

A big thanks goes out to those kind people who gave their time to support the event!

23 Feb 2016 - Good Health Exmouth ran various mini therapy sessions ranging from Nutritional Advice to Yoga, and Flower and Vibrational Essences to Massage at the Library. It was a very successful day with over 30 clients and all proceeds being generously donated to the Library Friends Group to enable us to hold more events like this one, to buy new furniture and generally improve thelibrary experience.

17 Feb 2016 - A lovely poetry afternoon was held at the library. As well as being enjoyed by those attending, it also raised £45 for the Friends of Budleigh Salterton Library.

Our Christmas book sale raised over £200 – many thanks to everyone involved, from donating books, to volunteering during the event and of course buying the books! There are still books available to purchase in the library, so please take a look the next time you pop in.

September 2015 - It was another successful Summer Reading Challenge in 2015, which started in July with the launch (alongside the World Record Attempt for pledges to read a book over the summer) and finished with a fun celebration at the end of the school holidays .
